What weapon should I look into for ranger?

Read it just now, I hate to say this, but all I see is numbers and random abbreviations. :/

My main issue im trying to learn is back in psu years ago, me and my friends knew how grinding worked perfectly. Issue now is I forgot it and the only thing I know how to do is grind a weapon plainly with the occasional breaking prevention.

Back in psu, there was a way you made the grind strengthen the weapon into so much better.

Things need to be put in simple terms for me to understand.

This is not PSU, and the grind system is nowhere near the same.

You don't have to have the highest quality gear in order to enjoy the game, keep that in mind: you can easily get mid-range gear and be effective. This link, here lists the assault rifles, which are effective weapons in many situations. I currently use Lambda Strauss' and still manage to perform well enough in most situations. No, I don't kill as fast as those with extremely high-end gear, but, honestly? You don't need to in this game. It's not hard. There is a grinding system, and while it's better than PSU's, it's still not...'good'

Also, for that link, you can use the tabs and such to get around and look for other weapons, Photon Arts, etc.
