Selphea's Affixing 101 Guide is always good reference. It's a bit outdated since it doesn't directly reference some of the new affixes (though there is a separate post about ExtReceptor), but it is still solid.

You might be able to put an item in a Cardboard Box and put it in their MyRoom.

Gift boxes from the FUN Shop can be left in someone's room, but there are some limits as to what can be left. I believe there is a limit of 100K meseta that can be left in it, and basically anything that can be purchased without needing a trade pass (so no 10*+ weapons and units).
