Some item codes for the songs have already expired.

On that note, why do item codes expire? What's the point?

If I have three character slots (two that were free and one that I purchased) and delete one of the characters in one of the free slots, will I be able to create another character for free or will that slot be lost?

It depends on your subclass. If you're HU subclass then generally speaking you want S-ATK affixes since T-ATK doesn't benefit your HU weapons.

There is an affix that covers T-ATK and S-ATK you could use if you wanted to cover both bases.

I believe in most cases though you want S-ATK affixes.

Generally S-ATK, but in some cases S-ATK + T-ATK is better. For example, Ability III will add more damage to wand melee than Flict Arma would. Generally, 15 T-ATK > 5 S-ATK for wand melee as a Te/Hu. This is strictly for single target damage though, otherwise the inverse (15 S-ATK > 5 T-ATK) would be a good rule of thumb.

You're paying for the character, not the slot.
So if delted, you'll have to pay for another character.

it's mainly so people do not take advantage of keeping items after a certain time to sell if made available for purchase.

Plainly so players do not make money off of the item codes.

this give players reason to use it rather than waste it.
