There are only a few 12* units that you can get outside of random drops:
    • Whitill Set: Title Rewards for getting 800(Arm), 900(Leg), and 1000(Rear) Titles
    • Rear/Shine Red/Blue: 3300 Battle Coins
    • Leg/Elmre Theta and Rear/Segua Lithia: 50 2017 Weapon Badges
    • Arm/Gix Khudu: Title reward for S-Ranking Ultimate Amduscia (complete under 7 minutes).

Are any of those good? I could probably get help with the Gix one, and I have the weapon badge ones already. I just didn't want to fuse rings into bad pieces without knowing first.

Honestly, compared to a lot of the bonuses you get from other 12* Units, not really. They are okay-ish if you really are desperate for extra Rings, but you might get more out of getting an Austere Rear and Arm and using only 2 L Rings.

They're all tied to RNG and I just wanted something I could use to fuse the TD Air Chase ring. I guess I'll shoot for the Gix one since I only have about 230 titles and no idea on how to get over 700 more quickly.

I recommend not putting weapon specific rings on units if you can help it. It's easier to change rings when you change weapons, than to get a whole extra unit for that.

I play on controller so it's a pain, especially for FI where the Kamaitachi ring needs to be on all the time. I'd rather fuse the ring into something to prevent all the macros and switching that's not easy with my preferred control method.

Yeah, I agree with this. 12* units on fighter should be for things like Step Jump, Air Reversal, Step JA Combo. They don't have to be leveled so it's safe to fuse onto starter 12* units. For double saber and dagger I just use a macro to switch the rings and weapon at the same time

Something like Joy To Key makes it easy to set all that in a usable way; I have it set up where I can easily use my shortcuts without slowing down or taking my hands off the controller.

I'd rather not mess with macros if possible. I wish the ring switching wasn't so cumbersome and permanently fused to units. Isn't that against the rules anyway?

As long as you aren't using to do things like press a key 300 times a second, it doesn't do anything you couldn't do with a regular keyboard and mouse.
