I don't remember exactly what is the hp damage threshold, but I think it is less than 1k damage for that one, if not less.

I'll try again tomorrow. I think the dark wave machines caused me more damage than the enemies, guess I'll be careful.

No joke. When I did it for the first run, I was shock how bad I did (got around B-rank). When I did a 2nd run, I was more careful, but still took way too much damage and ended with a A. So later runs, I was doing the mission as fast as a snail, making sure I take as little as damage as possible and abort if I took more than 500-1k, which is hard because the damage I was taking comes in bursts.
