You don't need to use Wise Stance for PP slayer to kick in

WHOA WAT REALLY??????? wow i was pretty dumb the whole time then... this is quite troubling, then all that chase bind and status affect stuff is completely useless compared to pp slayer, i am definitely putting everything into pp slayer once i get those 5 sp from the CO....

Chase Advance is good given your gear is structured for it. PP Slayer is simply a lot more consistent.

well bosses will never suffer from pitiful status affects, so i wont bother touching it, and i'd rather not spend time affixing a burn or panick to a weapon where i can be giving it a nice quartz soul plus power 3 affix.

Some does and some doesn't, this is a list from what I can remember as of now:

Note: This applies to their rare version as well and that I maybe wrong since I really don't play with SE's but only seen them being applied by FOs and TEs.

Rock: Burn, mirage or whatever that stupid green poison is.
Gwan: Burn.
Vol: Freeze <foot only to apply freeze effect>
Fang Banther/Banshee: Burn <well literally set them of fire having them going "I'M ON FIRE!!!!!"
Snow Banther/Banshee: Not sure but guessing same thing applies to them as to Fangs.
Mal mammo: Burn.
Tranmizer: Shock.
Vardha: Nothing.
Vardha Soma: Nothing that I know of or at least can't remember.
Bal Rodus: Nothing I believe.
Cat (caves and FC): Poison on both and Freeze only to caves version.
Quartz: Poison but Poison only works on broken parts and even then it works like WB instead of doing a D.O.T.
Dragon EX: Same as Quartz.
Zoraan: Nothing that I know of or at least can't remember.
Wolg: Shock and mirage whatever that green poison is?
Zesh: If I remember correctly: Nothing.
Ragne: Nothing.
Blu Ringa: Nothing.
Elder Falz: Shocks stuns him. Regular stuns from attacks can stun him too and it'll have a different animation and not count towards shock counts.
Falz Arms: Shock knocks back the arms.
Cougar NX: Nothing if I remember correctly or can't remember.
Persona: Nothing I think.
Hunar: Nothing, it just makes him laugh for a sec lol xD

So generally chase is better off for large mobs or med-way bosses as most large bosses aren't even affected by side-effects.
So just like elemental weakness <fire being popular> burn would be the go to if you are going for chase or at least get the most of out it in terms of what status effect is the best.

Oh on another note: Chase cannot be applied to large bosses if I remember correctly.

Yep, but it's as rigid as any other freeze, so without freeze keep it won't be very useful.
