Weapon Customization System. What does this mean? Thoughts?

Maybe the answer is really simple, I dunno. But I was reading the previews for upcoming content and SEGA says "Weapon cusomization system" moved to January. Anyone know what this is? Speculation welcome. I hope it's like the wardrobe system from other games where you get to use another weapon from the same weapon type's look. Thoughts?

Wouldn't mind a system like what OP described. Most of weapons here look rather horrible, not necessarily the weapon itself but those colour themes....

If it's a system that lets us transform any weapon we want into a weapon camo, I'm all for it.

If it's a system like Aion's where you can override a weapon's look with another weapon, I'm all for it.

If, however, if it's just another pointless piece of progression with minimal benefits but maximum cost, FUCK YOU SEGA I'M OUT.
