I've been farming Quartz too. I'm still not sure if it drops from Quartz or the rare version. JP wiki says Quartz but I haven't seen it on the drop table since release.

Spam bow and take your time. Also, bring friends along every now and then so the runs don't feel so long and exhausting. Take breaks when necessary.

why do you need the S rank ?

Do it with a 4 party.
Main Braver

2 on mobs (zondeel mandatory, and one with good mob clearing skills such as DA or SE)
The mobs inside are enough for you to reach rank S
2 on quarts (WB pref)

Farm endlessly, sell quartz soul!

Or wait for that 100% boost on FC and hope for quartz in MPA?

s-ranking a quest typically doubles the drops on average (i think for the quartz extra parts yield 4 instead of one on s-rank vs c-rank)
