You will lose out on 30 seconds instead of 15 between recasts now after all.
Not really, since you would have twice as many periods of 15s downtime.

Imagine if the skill lasted 1s with a 2s cd. That's only 1s downtime between recasts, but since you're recasting it so much you barely get any active time at all. It's only up at most half the time no matter what.

Over a 30m period, the old WL would be cast 40 times for 20m of active time. The new one would only need 20 casts for the same amount of active time. With the 1s/2s idea, it would be cast 900 times for a total of 15m worth of WL.

Of course it's not always so cut and dry, since if there's regularly 15s between mob spawns where you can't actually make use of WL, the old system is better since the new one would be down when you need it. But factoring in the cast animation would make the 1s/2s version abysmal since the buff would be over by the time you just got done applying it.

I wish they could've retained the Mirage Escape but allowed you to cancel it into a step attack.

The only reason Step is a passable defensive maneuver is because the invulnerability bonus from Step Advance stacks when using any combination of HU, FI, or BR, and TE doesn't get any bonuses.

What would be ideal is if they release some kind of Wand Lovers Afterburst skill now that buffs your tech damage by like 50% after Wand Lovers wears off. Then I could potentially be happy about this fist pump barrage as some kind of dual role of TE.

    But as it is?

I have no clue what you're talking about. I was just looking for the best place to leave an extra 10 SP on that build.

Ugh.. I guess I will wait with using my skill reset pass. I find keeping up TB annoying as it is. Can't really use another one like that. I was kind of expecting this, since WL doesn't have any 'down sides' and SEGA obviously hates the casting classes and loves ranged classes. It's been like that in the original PSO and I honestly don't expect this to change at all.

What's even worse is that they are buffing a class like Braver, which was fine to begin with and currently OP with its shiny new PA. Hell, I haven't even beaten SH Vol solo with my 60/60 TE/HU back then, but recently my 50/45 BR/HU with shitty gear quickly beat the snot out of him on the first try.

Braver wasn't quite "fine." It needed work. Badly. Its heaviest hitter was a slow, cumbersome move with too much startup time.

That said...Shunka was unnecessary. The last swings, or its power, or its low PP cost, or its crazy fast startup time are all too good.

Anyway, BR is the solo class. That's its point. It's good at having a few various ways of applying damage easily at safe ranges or with things that help make it safe (knockdown, flinch, etc.) It used to be that in a group it wasn't as great, but now...

HU is in really bad need of a boost again, TE's issues are wildly blatant again, and they did to fighter what I knew they would from day 1 - gave all of its close range moves omgwtf damage to account for the travel time and such. RA is given the most multipliers of any class when it subs HU, and both need nerfs so they can actually stand on their own.

Wand Lovers should either be 5 SP or it should be where Shifta Crit is. Shifta Crit should be part of Shifta Advance. Shifta Advance should be a static +200 to each atk. Wand Lovers should be 600 seconds and/or they should just fucking add Mirage Attack and be done with it.

Tech explosions have to restore additional PP. That's the simpliest way to buff Techer and make it more interesting I can think of.
