Friend can't get game\tweaker working

Hey a friend got a new laptop and just started playing again... Well trying to at least... He's downloaded the game and tweaker but when he launches the game through the tweaker it starts and then closes and a box comes up that says pso.exe phatasy star online 2 tweaker has stopped working and says something about windows... So i thought it would be and easy and obvious fix by troubleshooting in th tweaker and picking fix Pso.exes but unfortunately we run into the same problem again.. Any ideas or some advice on what to do for help?

Check to see if his lameguard is functioning properly. Have him run the fix gameguard option in the tweaker. Why does sega still use that piece of shit?

Uninstall and reinstall the game, try and run the game normally wihtout any patch or tweaker.

Then make sure you have the latest version of the tweaker and translation file and run it.
