    Default Oh no my Laptop...

I have a heavy concern for my laptop atm. My power supply charger everytime I plug it into the laptop, the laptop gives off a burning smell. Obviously not going to keep it gonna replace it but how do I make sure my laptop didn't sustain any damage from this? I ran it with just battery power and ran a graphic and process intensive game and everything seemed fine other than a bit of lingering burning smell from the fans. Checked the inside motherboard didn't look burned... Am I checking correctly?

You probably need to check at the AC port and see if anything is melted or burnt by smelling there and the AC plugin from the adapter itself, it might be getting too much volts or the AC adapter itself is going bad by not regulating its power since AC adapters pull in more power when its charging the battery and powering the laptop at the same time.
