PSO2 just wants you have a good time, and that's what the intelligent people around these boards do...they have fun. There are games out there meant for types like you, unfortunately you won't be very popular bringing that attitude to this one with most people.

PSO2 wants you to have a good time? Is the game talking to you? People playing the game anyway they wish is the cornerstone of your arguments. For some people it's not just about fun.

Do you find optimization to be fun or do you just do it so you get faster runs?

Obviously there is a "fun" aspect for you if you keep coming back to play, though you derive it from a different aspect of the game than others.
