Default Idea for Shifta/Deband Based FI/TE

Would this be a viable build if I aimed to have Shifta and Deband up 100% of the time?

Honestly it doesn't seem like it would be hard to do, just have the items that give shifta and deband on me and with the time extensions on the skill tree the effects wouldn't need to be refreshed very often.

Also, seemed like an interesting way to play.

it's not that it can't be done it's that shifta at best gives ~19% of your base stats which account for ~33% of your total stats which means shifta is only giving about a 6% increase. Building around not having to recast a 6% buff that takes SP from other skills you could be using that actually raise your damage by a greater amount and are just as easy to maintain if not easier seems counter productive.

If you're going to insist on Fi/Te which does mediocre damage regardless, you're better off focusing more on Zondeel megiverse and zanverse on the techer side. and putting a single point in Extend assist for a 2 minute total shifta. At that point a single charged(or two uncharged) shifta will give you 2 mins and uncharged will give you 1 which is plenty.

Also Shifta advance gives you a 25% boost to the 19% meaning a total of ~24%, not 44% this means an additional 1-2% over the 6% shifta gives you which isn't worth the SP, same for deband and deband advance. It's just not worth the investment.

Critical skills are only worth having if you're going to be using a lot of crafted weapons. uncrafted rare weapons (aside from red and blue weapons) all have a minimum damage built into them, basically not letting you do below a certain percentage of your maximum damage. This is before dex is even taken into account. Basically if you have decent gear, not the expensive stuff, just not hard mode rares in SH, you'll be doing respectable damage with very little variation in your damage. Since critical hits only ignore the RNG part of your damage and guarantee your max damage rather than modifying your damage(for example in a lot of games you do 1.5 times your normal damage on a crit), they have very little impact on your actual DPS. With that in mind, skills that boost crit rate are commonly not great for boosting your damage output.

Fi/Te or Te/Fi is a mobbing class, not for bosses, so you should build around that. Chase advance is a much better skill for this as the boosts are much larger and inflicting statuses is easy enough. the +200 S atk from PP slayer sounds ok, but at this stage in the game it's really only about a 10-12% boost in damage and is extremely out of the way. remember it's not just the 10SP it took to max the skill, it's also the 9SP it took to get there from wise stance up. 10% damage for nearly 20 SP isn't worth it.

Also, max wise stance up. Bosses like dark falz and big vardha have very loose ideas of what "rear" is. for example "rear" for falz is the north half of the map - the part closest to him, and vardha's ship is how front and rear are calculated, not the smaller body on the deck. Other bosses it's very easy to hit their weak points from the back, such as ragne, zesh and mizer. Not maxing this skill is actually a bigger loss than the PP slayer you were going for would have been a gain.

Consider wand gear for mobbing too. it might not sound as fun as daggers and knuckles, but wand lovers and wand reactor can do insane things with zondeel. Zanverse is actually better than Shifta for a damage boost as it does a percentage of your damage, rather than taking a percentage of your base stats.

Here's something that works a bit better This will lets you do respectable mobbing and make use of the good support skills. wind masteries are maxed mainly to boost zanverse as these two skills combined will make zanverse 44% more effective, taking the 20% damage buff to ~29% - far more than shifta will ever provide.

The wand stuff is mainly for when you invariably have to main Techer, but you may find you like wand even as a fighter.

Anyway I'd go with something like that rather than trying to build around shifta.

I play FIghter/TEcher 65/50 with THAT TREE and a Nishiki+10 (Potential Lv3) for each element. That way, Shifta and Deband are not needed...

Didn't max Wise Stance or get any chase? No TB?? What do you even use Techer for?

And Nishiki is... really bad to be using at the level cap. You'd probably do more with a single Akane
