That thing works sometimes.
A better way would to use openvpn for android (doesn't need root) and then use a jp openvpn server.
That's how I do it anyways.
EDIT:
Just to be on the safe side, any decent device with Android Jelly Bean and KitKat, certain ICS devices may or may not work.
The soon to be released estweaker will allow to update the game too.
On bumped.org there's a guide for PSO2es, and they talk about 'Optional Patches'.
Could someone explain what the actual differences are when you don't have the patch and when you do? It says something about icons, but 600mb for icons seems an awful lot.
They also say that there are other patches
PSO2es Optional Patches
Initial Space: 200MB+
Character Creation Patch: 150MB+
Icons Patch: 600MBs
All Patches: 3GBs
Mainly interested in the Character Creation Patch.
Link is here; http://bumped.org/psublog/phantasy-s...tabs-25972-1-4
When you click on "First Time Players," there's an option to customize your character after selecting their Race, Gender, Class. (Explained in the guide's "Startup" tab.) When you click "Customize Character" it will automatically download the Character Creation patch.
Ctrl+F "Optional Patch" and click on its tab to see how to download the rest of the patches.
On top of this, I'll add an extra picture showing what the "Customize Character" button looks like
An alternative method to acquire/update the game: Use http://apk.qoo-app.com/. I'm at work right now but here's a rough guide from memory:
1) Either on your phone or Bluestacks go to http://apk.qoo-app.com/download.html...yStarOnline2es
2) Click on the APK link below the QR code. The site will ask you to download their own special app. Install it, and open it up. (You might be able to get the app directly from Google Play but it was erroring out for me there.)
3) When you open the app, you should see PSO2es at or near the top of the page. Just tap on it and and it will bring up the details page with some orange buttons. The big one on the bottom left of the details will download the game for you, OR it will update it if you already have it installed!
Hope this helps.
