I'm way excited for the game, but yeah, the choice in music feels like some kind of prank.
Hey, can I ask a question of Mortal Kombat fans? I've never really played the series, but my understanding is that the last Mortal Kombat game was a reboot of the series and was essentially retelling the events of the first Mortal Kombat but in a new timeline. Is there any sign that this game is going to be a retelling of the second Mortal Kombat? Like, doesn't Sub-Zero get killed and replaced by his brother or something in one of the games? Is this trailer showing the death of the first Sub-Zero?
That's a really good and intriguing question but I'm not enough of a fan to know the answer to that, although I'd like to know it as well.
That trailer has me feeling indifferent about the game. I don't think the music choice fits the game at all (please bring back that 90s techno/pop-ish stuff back).
The other thing that bothered me a bit was the way they did the animation. I can't quite pin what it is, but it seemed a little cheesy.

AYY. All you nillas days is numbered.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure even a super-powered dude like Sub-Zero shouldn't be jumping around and fighting after having his arm broken and his kneecap shattered.
