Elemental Conversion question

Does elemental conversion give you the boost to tech damage when using any weapon or I'd it just for tech casting weapons? I'm trying not figure out if FO has become a better or more viable sub for GU than TE when taking tech damage into account. I know. Its a terrible combination either way and will suck hard on super hard. I just want to know which is LESS terrible

I want to say it's any weapon. It's something to test though when the game is back up.

Regardless of the answer, FO will not become a better subclass thanks to that skill, because Element Conversion only works if Force is your main class.

And, the skill's description doesn't mention tech weapons specifically, so I assume it's for all weapons. Makes sense, since there are things like Madam's Umbrella, Persona's sword and Rika's Claw, which are kinda useless even with Element Conversion, but are especially so without it.
