Nowaday, I see people picking up Ikariboshi Hou (racoon tail launcher) and Kazanou (katana). What's up with that? Was under the impression that they only boost attacks during a sunny weather, which can easily be ruined once you accumulate enough PSE.

Oh, silly me. I keep forgetting PSO2 stands for Phasion Star Online 2

They're still some of the strongest weapons that *can* be used against anything.

You don't need 5 copies to get your 12% damage bonus, you don't need a specialized skill tree, and anyone can get one regardless of premium status or wallet size.

Of course, your damage tanks whenever there's a weather effect, but there's never such a thing in a boss room, among other places. Though I wonder if they changed how it works in EQs like Falz, since last I checked being in space didn't count as sunny weather.

But you can always switch to a weaker yet general purpose weapon.
