How the heck do people manage to have characters with booty?

Is there a mystical magical slider that allows this to happen or is it some weird morphing going on with poses and what not? CAUSE THERE'S STILL NO BUTT SLIDER! >=(

I need examples because I don't believe you. You can certainly do hips but you aren't gonna be able to make a character Sir Mix-A-Lot would sing about.

Also depends on the body/outfit model.
Some have no butt (China/Sexy China), some have a butt.
Some have a big butt (Valgiris).

If you try to make wider hips with weight, you'll get a jutting-out pot belly on some outfits (Bikini Swimwear, Absolute Layer).
It's kinda better to make wider legs instead, but then you get fat legs.
