    It adds more invincibility frames to the animation. Basically, for x amount of time when you're doing the step dodge, or the combat roll for RAs, if an enemy tries to attack you in any way, you're invincible and can't be hurt. Adding points into the skill increases the window of time that you can be attacked during step/roll and not be damaged.

    Is that a bit more clear?

    I Step dodge as Fo/Te and Ranger a lot with a gunslash and it still works just fine without Step Advance. You don't really need three points in it either since two is pretty much the same amount (.09 rather than .11) but there are lots of other skills to get.

    Photon Flare is just bad though. Decent with a Motav but no more than 1SP since it scales like shit. At least the new duration makes it finally better than T-Atk Up, but not the new values if it's really 100 base Atk passively. You should never max PF unless you've literally nothing else to pick up as far as damage or stats are concerned.

    Yeah, I just tested Halfline Slayer with PP Convert. It's based on your new max HP, so Limit Break won't trigger anything, and in fact can even lose the bonus you already had before you used it.

    I've been playing around with the new trees today. I admit that I can't really look at Ra/Gu tree and think its great but I really would like to use that combination. Also, I don't know what to do with some points in the Hu subclass for Ranger so I made 2 versions of it.
