Default Regarding adding classes while crafting.

With the addition of Bouncer, I was very excited to be the best buffs I could be. Realizing that two of the Shifta/Deband skills require me to stay as a techer, now I am interested in locating Jet Boots that I can utilize if I do so.

The question becomes, if I spend AC to get my hands on a "Add Techer" item, does it PERMANENTLY add it to the weapon? i.e. if I craft the weapon again to get it to a higher EX level, will I lose the class that I used the AC item to gain?

I've yet to use any add class passes, so I figured it would be prudent to know before hand.

    Many thanks!

It is not permanent. If you craft it again it will be lost.

You don't need to spend AC since they can be bought in player shop. However they are expensive. You can also hope for a great success that gives you the class compatibility. The chances are higher if you level up your craft level.

When you use a add class item, make sure it's the last time you'll ever craft the weapon. The same applies to just repeatedly crafting the same level on a weapon until you hit a desirable utcome (all class being the best, a class set being decent, and 1 extra class being the worst benefit).

You can also add in a required stat reduction item (10% from fun scratch and titles, 20% from recycle shop) and a mysterious third item (probably the new casino ones? Perhaps a change to the required stat?) along with the guaranteed class item, but like everyone says, that only counts for that one single crafting attempt.

Generally people do it on the final crafting level, and if you can't afford to get your own crafting up to that rank, someone will usually be kind enough to do it for you by searching at the visiphone. Max craft rank has a requirement of 600 of the stat, if I remember correctly, which would mean 600 t-atk for boots, or 540 with a -10% or 480 with a -20%. Not a big deal for a tech based techer at any rate, the reduction items are mainly for, say, a HU who can't quite met the dex requirements for maxed BR weapons or doesn't have their ken'ei yet.
