    Default GU/RA or RA/GU - good idea?

    greetings

i am completely new to the whole thing and i would like to build a ranged type character only

so does such main class / sub class combo as RA/GU or GU/RA make any sense?

    any advice appreciated

Gu/Ra is probably the best combo for gunner right now so yes

wow that was fast, thanks a lot ^ ^

so i should reach level when i can take GU as subclass / main?

or how exactly does it work

GU as main, RA as subclass

    how it works:

    apply weak bullet to boss
    apply chain trigger to boss
    spam satellite aim
    boss dead

Somewhere around level 19-25 you'll get a quest from Koffie that unlocks the Sub Classing feature. Until then play as Ranger or Gunner whichever is most comfy to you. Also are you playing on JP or SEA server?

thanks, i am playing on JP server atm

i am confused - how do i play a gunner before 19-25 lvl?

i thought this class should be unlocked somehow first

RA/GU is better for pure ranged as Sharpshooter is RA-main only, and will provide a permanent 20% long-range damage bonus. Bullet Keep is also RA-main only and will let you switch to a launcher while keeping your weak bullet charges (though it doesn't work with TMG).

The only benefit to GU/RA is High Time which can provide a 20% bonus from any range, but has a wind-up time and a short cooldown (though this will change with the next patch).

Either one is fine regardless and end up being mostly the same in the end, with the only real difference is which weapons you'll need to multi-class for.

    well this is slightly awkward

on the JP server there is no option to start such class as Gunner (Techer or Fighter):

i would think there will be a Class unlocking procedure somewhere at 20 ish lvl +?

again, thanks for all the info provided

All classes are unlocked, its just there's no space to fit them all in at character creation.

After doing the tutorial, go to the class counter. There you can swap to Gunner.

If you're planning on primarily using mechguns, sharpshooter is only good for mobbing since you want ZRA and sat aim on bosses, but you lose high time's damage for bossing (which also works during mobbing).
