^Gal rod (Dark). Long range pot.
Ares or Austere for Light. Either Rod or talis. Or both.
Gal Wind for wind, lol (20% Wind tech dmg up). Can also opt for Wind ele Evil Nochiuhau, but haha...seems kinda meh xD
This rod, キャナロップ, for lightning. 12* and has innate Il-Zonde. Lightning tech pot.
(Kazuki, RA or BR/HU, Human♂) (Yusei, FO/TE or FI, Newman♂)(Zane, TE or BR/HU, Deuman♂)
Ship: 2-Ur
Fire - Ares Rod, because mobbing and PB gauges
Ice - Ideal Talis, because Scrub
Lightning - No Opinion, I'd just use a max element psycho wand probably
Wind - No Opinion, prob just Gal Wind even though I hate casting Wind techs from talis
Light - Austere.
Dark - ?
Or I mean, get an austere for everything ez pz
Rod:
Fire: Ares, Austere
Ice: Ares, Gal, Austere
Lightning: Ares, Slave, Austere
Wind: Ares, Austere
Light: Ares, Ideal, Nemesis, Austere
Dark: Ares, Gal, Austere
Talis:
Fire: Ares, Austere
Ice: Ares, Ideal, Austere
Lightning: Ares, Slave, Austere
Wind: Gal Wind, Austere
Light: Ares, Nemesis, Austere
Dark: Ares, Austere
More or less. Order is just oldest to newest and has no significance otherwise.
So being my first time legitimately playing Fo/Te
What's the best way to set up my Sub pallette for ease.
Generically switching from MElee and Range to Magic is confusing on how to set up your subpallette, at least to me it is.
I was planning on running Te/Fo for Support/Damage disher, but I'm running Fo/Te on a new Character trying to get around to this.
More specifically what techs would I use? aside from the specifics, Shift, Deband, Resta, Zondell, Zanverse

Sig is 1,324.5 KB, reduce to 49kb.
People have 50KB+ sig images, and mine gets cut. Legit
I have a 60fire Gal Rod
Should i get the long range potential for it? It seemed like a good idea at first for Folmegion/Foie/Rafoie but i am not really sure what the cut off point is
Thinking it would be useful for TDs if the long range distance is infinite or something
Ship 2 - Mirage
Hu - 75 Fi - 75 Br - 75 Bo - 75 Ra - 75 Gu - 75 Fo - 75 Te - 75
Long-range potential is certainly more useful than medium-range for the rod.
HERE is a video showing the range of it. It's nowhere near infinite; it's pretty restrictive, actually, which is unfortunate.
I would suggest going Dark for it, though, since Dark has more techs that work well with the potential, and being Dark will still make it work well with Fomelgion. (Fomelgion hits more with its Dark portion than Fire, anyway, so it'll be better if it's Dark for this case.)

Ganondorf (Dewman Fi/Et/Hu @ 100) | Link (Newman Br/Et/Hu/Hr @ 100) | Deoxys (Cast Lu @ 100)
Level 50 Technique Customization (max level) using Craft Tech Maker 4. Feel free to message me in game to request any recipe(s).
All things considered then, gal rod's most favorable element is...? Dark? Since ice can get a little redundant-ish
