Default Phantasy Star Online BB & Final Fantasy 4 connection

yes I understand how everyone feel about it. but I been playing Phantasy Star Games for 15 years.
as an old man I always loved rpg games for all console and including Sega. but after 15years and looking back. I notices a lot of thing with Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst. now you can call me A silly old fart or you can tell me I have wild imagination. HOW EVER once I about to show you its gonna take your imagination to a hole new level. you can call me silly. but I discover something that has a lot in common with Final Fantasy 4 with PSOBB.

    okay let begin

Monster on Final fantasy 4 has a few encounter with PSOBB and some monster have no connection at all with the both games HOW EVER There are few monster & robots from Final Fantasy 4 gonna blow your mind off the roof.

    1. Okay Lets look at Zu

The Zu, also known as the Raven or Zuu, is an enemy from Final Fantasy IV. One is fought in a cinematic battle at the beginning of the game. Afterwards, they are fought near Mysidia.

This monster been change over the years for Final Fantasy Games. How ever its kinda strike you that Sega Official took this monster from FF4 ?? well as for me I think they did

    2. on the tower of babel you clime your way up to Core to stop the Golem Monster on Final Fantasy 4. there one type of robots that I encounter that have bit same connection with PSOBB

Optic Blaster from Final Fantasy IV appears as an enemy in Pictlogica. these Machine only attack if there hp bit low they set a alarm and also summon ally if they see the intruder

On PSOBB we have something similar to Optic Blaster
    and its name is Canane

The Canane is Machine on Phantasy star Online that located deep in the Mine area. This little Guys control Canadine. if by any chance a player kill the Canane the Alarm will go off. The Group of Canadine instantly attack the enemy

now you have to understand that I been a Phantasy Star veterinarian sence 1987-2014. after all these years there is one weapon that has a lot connection with Final Fantasy 4 and PSOBB. and that the Excalibur

On Final Fantasy 4 The Excalibur is one of Cecil's ultimate weapons, obtained by trading a Rat Tail, found in the Feymarch

On Phantasy Star Blue burst Episode 4 on Ultimate setting you can get a Oran Id and hunt a Lame D'Argent and you had to kills 10,000 this item changes into Excalibur

I know that Final Fantasy and Phantasy Star Online are two different games but just to show you that even some simple things from old school games. can also be found from other games connection also to show most video games these can never be original. they always gonna be something similar to other games no matter you look at it. :P

To be fair you could connect virtually any videogame to any other previous videogame that has ever existed, but in the spirit of keeping things Phantasy Star related, I'll simply point you to look at the table upstairs in GTA : Vice City's very first safe house. Clearly visible in the gaming magazine is a screenshot of the initial world map from the very first Phantasy Star...

There was also a thread somewhere on this site explaining the strong similarities between Destiny and PSO... games do this all the time.

Zuu is comes from Anzû a dinosaur who is named after a mythical creature(or the mythical king of the demons of the wind; Pazuzu sins the rare version is called like that ,doesn't matter really) basically every rpg base there enemies on those.
Drones are common in videogames and Excaliburs are even more more common...

I don't see the real connection here sorry, besides they are both RPGs.

That's pretty awesome finding those similarities/rips from FF4. It seems ST took quite a bit of inspiration from SquareEnix.

Just gonna throw some more in here that I've noticed:

    Ep 2:

    Olga Flow:

    Compared to FF8's Ultima Weapon:

Not to mention that you fight Ultima Weapon in an abandoned sea lab.... at the bottom of a waste elevator. :P

And the sword itself compared to Flowen's Sword:

FF7's Ultima Weapon + the sword of Ultima Weapon above:

I'm really curious as to how many similarities/rips could be found in PSO. Seriously though nice job finding that one.

I don't really agree with Olga Flow looking like Ultima Weapon (boss) all that much. I also think that Lavis Cannon looks more like the Ultima Weapon (sword) than Flowen's Sword, and that full-power Galatine looks a hell of a lot more like FF4's Excalibur than the ugly thing called Excalibur in Blue Burst. I also think Canane and Canadine have roots in classic Phantasy Star. I'd have to go back and check to verify that, though.
