    Hello again my Ranger Veterans!

    I have a question regarding my Equipment Upgrade.

    I currently have:

    Main Weapon: Red Rifle, Extended to level9, 50% Fire, Fang Soul, Shoot III, Spiritia III

    Armor: Full Varda Set, each piece with Mizer Soul, Shoot III, Spiritia III, HP Boost.


    This being said, I had a friend telling me my next upgrade (Before going to the UQ to farm Angas) would be to get the Challenge Miles Weapon and Unit set.

    My question here is, is the Challenge Miles Weapon really better than the +16% damage Red Rifle? I'm not sure the added Ratk will compensate that?

    Any advice is appreciated!

    Ideal Lark (the CM rifle) has a 18% damage potential on bosses (all large and mid bosses,) 60 max attribute from being a 13*, much more R-ATK and only 90-100% damage variance to boot. Definitely one of the best rifles you can get, the only outright better one being Austere.
    One thing worth of note though, Ideal Lark isn't very strong on non-bosses. But since rifle is a mainly bossing weapon, this shouldn't be a problem as it can still kill bulky mobs with WB.

    The Ideal unit set is fairly good, comes with ok affixes and you get net mile profit from showing them to Zieg. Good as entry level units for endgame. Do look out for the Saiki set, which drops from Gigur Gunnegam and the Bonus Quests (the ones you need Silver/Gold Keys you get from featured quests sometimes.)


    Also, in case you're interested in launchers, Red Launcher is as good and accessible as the Red Rifle. The 13* upgrade would be the Orbit launcher for the PP regen utility and all around power. Launcher is worth looking at for general mobbing at higher difficulties since rifle isn't very good for scattered mobs and gunslash doesn't work with the Bullet Keep skill.

    imo, just use Crafted red weapon if u have low budget
    next stop will be Ares series or 12* with hidden pot
    and last stop will be Austere or Orbit series
    1st and 2nd damage will be different around 5%
    2nd-3rd and red weapon damage will be different around 10-20%

    Rifle
    1st - austere
    2nd - Ideal
    3rd - Ares, Skull, (Nemesis & slave but too much condition)
    4th - invade, xie, 12* with hidden pot
    5th - Red with hidden pot
    below this is unacceptable for boss rush EQ

    Launcher
    1st - Orbit, Austere
    2nd - Earth
    3rd - Ares, (slave and nemesis is not recommend)
    4th - Invade, xie, addis bunker with hidden pot
    5th - Red with hidden pot

    Unit
    either
    Saiki set with pp craft or
    Tian set/Austere set (for rear + arm) + Orbit set/Austere set (for leg + weapon) is the best
    ideal set + ideal rifle?... maybe.. but i doubt that ideal rifle might be outdate soon and make ur set useless

    and.... Launcher is bad..? i don't think so
    ppl tend to strict to image "Ra must stay at long range" and suck at launcher because how slow it is

    Launcher is a far better mobbing weapon than Rifle but people are constantly arguing that it's bad here, and nothing will convince them, so don't bother trying.

    In your video it'd been a better display if you used Cluster (or Divine) on the zombies once they spread out and you didn't have Grenade, and for the tank it's faster if you break the wheels because then it exposes its weakpoint at the front for a while.

    Good weapon list. I personally wouldn't invest in 12* weapons, such a waste of cash.

    Unit: Kaiser set is a good alternative to Tian, both are +30PP, both are +90 but Kaiser is also +90 S-ATK and has 6% strike/range resist (uncrafted).
    Crafted Austere Rear+Arm+random PP crafted leg is only 5PP lower than saiki set (50PP vs 55PP), both are +60 ATK but Austere lets you use the Orbit leg for +50 extra ATK with the launcher, saiki doesn't. Austere Leg/weapon is +DEF, no ATK, no PP ... pointless imo.

    Saiki, Good
    Tian+orbit, Good
    Kaiser+orbit, Good
    Austere rear/arm+orbit, Good

    Ideal set is dead.

    Queen Vera: 9+10.8+16.2 = +36 PP / attack rotation.
    Frozen Shooter: 10.8+10.8+10.8 = +32.4 PP / attack rotation.

    That's on paper, in practice Orbit Launcher is better, because why use a GS and lose your WB stack when you can switch to Orbit+Grenade and go from 0 to 150PP in 1sec.

    How about the Gryphon Rifle (リフォルス)?
    Did you guys count it out because it's too luck-dependant to get and not farmable like the above mentioned rifles?
    Or is the potential too conditional to maintain proper dmg ouput?

    Exactly, though i could see Gal rifle out damage Austere if Critical Strike ring can be used by Ranger.

    Is it literally that fast, or was that a hyperbole? I have the sword and 197 PP with it equipped, and it does not seem that fast >_>
