Default Wont load after character select

I recently just made a new character in pso2 but once i choose her, the game will load and i will be stuck in that worm hole portal forever. I cant seem to get passed this. Any ideas?

Might want to run a file check. Even with a fresh install, there is still the chance that some files might be missing/corrupted.

This sometimes happens with incompatibility with the English patch's Large Files, however I would not think that'd be happening this time as everything seems compatible with PSO2 in its' current state. File check is a good idea to be sure, as mentioned, and also double-check DirectX if you still have an issue, that caused me some loading problems going into the game once.

Sounds like a missing patch file issue. Sometimes it'll say completed patching when it actually hasn't.

Is the portal screen really laggy? Or does it not choke up all that much?

If laggy, it tends to happen if your graphic settings are higher than what your computer can handle.
