Is Fighter viable and practical?

So here is my question. A reliable friend tells me that I'd be better off not using fighter. Is it incorrect? Am I really better off either primary classing hunter and subclassing braver or primary classing bouncer and subclassing hunter? Can I do more damage by primary classing fighter and subclassing hunter like I wanted?

Fi is the stronger of the melee, with the highest damage potential from multipliers. It's just that it's reliant on more conditionals.

Fighter is kind of like the Lancelot Berserker of PSO2. Any weapon that it touches - even Gunslashes or those from other classes turns into a Noble Phantasm is granted a lot of damage buffs from Fighter's various skills.

Quite commonly, you'll see Fighter/Bouncer using Dual Blades or Jet Boots, Fighter/Hunter using Partizans, Fighter/Braver using Katana or Bullet Bow, Fighter/something using Gunslashes and so on.

depends on whether you like limit break or the fighter weapons
