I personally never understood this one.
You can get one more Apostle or whichever in if you need to. The MPA you're in will be with you on Loser.
The only way I see if you leave is if the MPA you're in wasn't a full one in the first place so you know you want a full MPA for Loser so you leave.
But if you're in a MPA that isn't all level 70 or whichever, I don't see why you would leave.
If you were there and saw they were bad looking BEFORE the teleporter started, you could have left then and let them know that it's a lost cause and just to wait for Loser.

Pretty much people leave because they want to be a d*** and impatient as hell.
