Placing bet of one bucket of fried rappy if there's TD arc they'll overcome all challenge with the power and friendship instead of casually throwing moon and charging tech like average PSO2 players.

From a distance (the full body image) I agree on that, nothing looks similar, but zoomed in he's face resembles him especially the front hair. Could also blame the facials.
I can see how they pull it off.
Speaking of story arcs................actually nevermind.

There's not gonna be a new better (wishfull thinking) PSO2 game by 2027...??? D8
Wait by 2027.. 12 years of content is a lot of expansion, and this solo player still uses a 4* weapon??
I wonder if crafting system has gotten that OP..
(seriously this anime is gonna be hilarious)

He's generic self insert design for average japanese teenage make image, there's technically hundreds of thousands of "kirito's" across anime and manga.
Same with archetype heroines but yeah.

Well one thing is for sure the PSO2 they play is not the same we play everyday, cause i dont see the Kawaii Lolis and the traps LOL!
PSO2 without Lolis is not PSO2...
Hope they make a good anime and make the fans proud!
PS:death to the lolis!
Honestly, I'm expecting the show to be boring based on what we've seen so far. It's playing the school part a little too straight which might end up being dull to sit through just to get to the in-game parts. In-game will probably be the only parts we'll get any kind of entertainment out of this.
I could see someone being well known in the community while also preferring to play solo, and getting known for that. I get the feeling it's more of that weird urban legend player thing though... which is arguably less realistic.
Not sure why you quoted me, since that's pretty much what I was implying.
I really doubt the ingame parts would be any good either simply because the game is real and there's a pretty good chance most players know more about the game than anime writers. There's a reason similar animu make up a game for it instead of using a real one.
