He just wants to, you know, play the game. Sorting, tekking, recycling, reporting, are all a pain up the ass.
I think he also complained about the Casino games being there for incentive and not for fun.
In my case, I like my characters, and I like boss fights. Small group challenging boss fights, not multi insta-kill boss fights.
I like Black Nyack, except that I could play Blackjack anywhere else. In fact, I was playing it in Yakuza 5 the other day. Not as cute, though.
TD3 is nice when it goes well. Challenge would be nice if we had more of it, and if people didn't suck so much.
I also enjoy soloing Naberius 2 TA. Several exciting boss fights there, ending with still one of the most enjoyable soloable boss fights, Ragne.
By the way, weight/wait switches are boring as hell when soloing.
The thing is, SEGA usually takes a year to add things like Tower Defense, Challenge or Time Attack. Extreme Quest isn't bad, and that barely gets updated too.
And when they do update these things, it's almost always one single thing at a time. And it's always more about the incentives than the actual act of playing.
On top of this, they schedule events and boosts to ensure everyone does the exact same thing at the exact time.
All of this ensures that people get burned out super quickly. Too much dripfeed and random chance. Not enough variation and choice.
Imagine if PSO2 allowed players to explore worlds, try various Tower Defense maps, and many more variations of Challenge Quest, whenever we want.
Hard to imagine people getting sick of that quickly, right?
Right now, we have to wait around and hope for random EQs, or scheduled EQs. Or farm boring crap.
We only have two Challenge Quests. Everyone was already sick of the first one by the time we got the second, which is much shorter.
I'm sure people will be sick to death of the current two by the time we get a third, if they aren't already.
A JP friend who played and loved PSO1 recently reminded me that PSO1 only had 4 person parties.
Makes me wonder if PSO2 would be better if they focused more on 4 person content instead of multi-party clusterf**k mess.
12 people flattening stuff instantly isn't fun. Random people playing like shit and ruining the game isn't fun.
Pretty certain those problems are less likely to occur with 4 person content.
