Isn't the music they are using PSIV's Ooze ?

They are also using PSO1's Episode 3 IDOLA strange fruit for TD4 and "creation" cutscene of Profound Darkness.

This was all mined long ago actually as soon as the last precede came out. Here's a breakdown of Falz internal names so far.

    Hunar: MDF
    Hands: DF2
    Elder: DF3
    Angel: MDF2
    Loser: BDF
    Double: DFT

Since the precede last came out before TGS, we'll likely see 'IDOLA' The Strange Fruits and OOZE in the next one. Sega will likely announce a patch some time next week

    My mistake, it is Ooze.

Regardless it's still good to see the team reaching back into PS's history and grabbing things from previous games other than PSO. I'm actually hoping to see Mother-Brain return as well. They speak of having the game around for 8 years...I'm curious to see the direction they go in after the Dark Falz saga is concluded.

Well considering that [Double] literally welcomed the Profound Darkness back, I don't think that's the case

Magatsu phase 2 does work with the story (too many Magatsu were sealed from phase 1 so ARKS needs to exterminate them), and MBD thus far hasn't had anything to do with the story and is exceptionally unclear about what's going on besides a darker assault on mining bases. Apprentice was shown leading it in the initial trailers, but that scene has never been shown in-game, when she does show up in the story mode at a MBD area it has nothing to do with the MBD quests, and now with MBD4 it would appear that it was ARKS that was looking for Apprentice's body to eliminate it, not Apprentice looking for her body as was the popular, and apparently unfounded, theory.

To give a counter example, PSO2 EP3's redesigned ARKS ship layouts came after Luther's defeat and the overhaul of ARKS as a whole, which corresponds well with the story progression.

And Xiao is the one that talks about Anga, and given that he's responsible for managing story quests I think it's pretty likely that it's canon that Anga's been around for a while.

That theory isn't unfounded, considering that's what she's doing in her appearance at the Quarry in Episode 2 and the Mining Base in Episode 3...

Also, Vatallus, I think this is enough to prove the identity

I'd rather keep all options open rather than close them due to some datamined info... Otherwise we would still be calling Persona Zeno, as an example of how things can change when the rest of the info is presented.

Also I think LonelyGaruga noted that new weapons come with Darkness Soul. Which does seem to be a legit reason to believe that the boss might be PD. Though I do recall minions like Apos also drop Loser Soul.

Everyone has neat ideas and theories. I just like keeping my options open when not everything is here yet.

Shows how much I pay attention to Apprentice's parts in the story! Thanks for the correction.

The head is what DpDepthHuman (the one with the sword and gun) looks like unmasked. The boss following Dark Falz Double, DpAbyss (there are files related to DpDepthHuman that are labeled DpAbyssHuman) had its scripts datamined, and has transformation states for white, black, and SPFinish (the datamined model is presumably for SpFinish). White and black correspond with what's been shown in trailers, and the first reveal of the boss showed a couple seconds of it entering a third transformation that depicted it unfolding the petals around the core before the trailer finishes the gameplay coverage. The upper torso of DpAbyss is right where the core of the boss shown forms, which is what's generally facing players in the trailers. Many of the attacks that were datamined also correspond with what was shown in trailers, including the four attack bits (which resemble the SH infections as a bit of trivia).

I don't know where people got the idea that Persona was Zeno, so I can only talk about this specific case, but there's overwhelming evidence that DpDepthHuman, which we know is Matoi, is also DpAbyss. We also know that Matoi became the Profound Darkness, because Double said so. Thus, Matoi = DpDepthHuman = DpAbyss = Profound Darkness.

I could be wrong on this, but I also feel like each one is at least a slight nod to the individual Dark Falz

The one covered with eyes shoots lasers that seem slightly reminiscent of Elder's
The one composed of two blades is quite similar to Loser's twin swords in a way
The one that "bites" players is a bit similar to Double's overall jaw/consumption motif
The last one seems to be a pincer, which is common for bugs to have, so possibly a nod to Apprentice

A weak connection at best, but I still think it's interesting. On another note, I wonder if they'll be breakable parts (also, based on the fact that PD has 8 limbs, I think it's safe to assume there are 2 of each); and... did anyone else notice the MUCH larger-scale variants of these shown while it was in its black form?

Those correspond to the infections too, or at least, that's what I would have matched them up as being.

Pincer/claw = bug infection (technically, it's a horned skull, but the horns form pincers, bit of an oddball)
Eye = fish infection (easy match)
Scythes = bird infection (change the wings into scythes)
Mouth = toy/hand infection (change the hand into a mouth and it works, bit of a stretch though).

Dunno about breakables, but I do believe there's two of each kind, one per petal. It's certain that there's two of the eye one at least, since they were shown simultaneously in the reveal trailer. But I don't notice any size differences when comparing them. I made an album from the first reveal trailer, but haven't gotten to the one from the last live broadcast yet (there really wasn't much new shown anyway). I think it's just that the PD is so much closer in black phase than white phase that the bits just appear to be larger.

Oddly, they seem to be entirely absent from the SPFinish model.
