    Is there a reason Su/Fo isn't a popular combo; from what I've seen people seem to prefer to use the switch skills and use other classes.

    I know virtually nothing, but with gathering I've been leveling my alt and decided to go summoner, to play around with it, and it seems like being a naturally magic-using class would benefit from having a T-atk based sub, since you can cast techs while your summon is attacking but you can't use other weapons.

    I vacuum stuff up with Cery's pull and blast 'em with Zan, just seems like better action economy than using the summon alone. I'm probably missing some key reason against this as I'm only doing it for fun, but it just seems natural to me.

    That only works at low levels because there aren't any stronger tacts so using techs offensively while also using your pet doesn't work very well in the mid/late game. Sure you can squeeze some t-atk out of your skill trees but it doesn't even remotely compare to using a weapon with decent t-atk, and your pets will be easily outdamaging anything your techs can do.

    On the other side of the coin, Fo does pretty much nothing for your pet damage compared to other options.

    That's not to say there's no reason to use techs as a Su, Su/Gu uses them to build chains, and the support techs are always useful, but using offensive techs as a primary part of your damage doesn't work out very well.

    I think somehow I completely forgot that a good chunk of your spell damage actually comes from the weapon's T-Atk, this makes sense.

    a small question related to melon : which rolls u guys think will work the best on it? ...i was thinking about conversion-substitute combo but somehow i feel like a steadfast roll could help so i wonder.

    I know I'm late, but I agree with what Kondibon said.

    Rolls and parfaits haven't been dropping for me. I don't want to farm goddamned stones, either.
    I feel like pets still perform well as long as you have them at high level and with decent fundamental candies like stamina/body.
    I say that because i've been running my 4th Summoner through stuff, and they seem okay despite not having the free parfaits/rolls from the titles.

    I'm considering not using rolls at all on Melon and just stamina cookies. Conversion rolls would be cool for more damage, but losing too much defense without a lot of hp would make Melon way too squishy for my tastes. I dunno how much of a difference 8% would make though.

    how many HP u think would be good for melon so ? and i was thinking the same way but about parfaits since i can only put an ares kind and the non pa dmg one ...but idk honestly

    Melon only needs to get hit twice so I wouldn't worry about the low HP when its defense is so high. My Melon gains 169 T-atk as a capped 11* from 2 conversion rolls, and the defense loss isn't noticeable even in ultimate quests. My load out with Melon is 2 conversion rolls, 2 pancakes, 1 Blast Parfait, 1 Cookie for now, and rest filled with Stamina Gummy to help with the HP.

    Boost week was the best time to find rolls in ultimate quests as they dropped like candy. Now, you're stuck having to farm stones for those.

    Maybe I should stop pulling Melon out for changeover bosses then. ;;
