My reaction was a bit surprised, but at the same time, "Oh. Well, I did see you and your crew all in Final Fantasy Explorers so I guess it's timely."
For me, it's a nice surprise, but something I can see given what seems to be the vision for Smash 4. This game is becoming quite the collection of all the most Iconic Japanese videogame characters throughout the ages.
PS. - I'm sooooo getting Final Fantasy Explorers as this is another taste of a Phantasy Star Online experience SEGA seems so keen on not localizing lately. At least Squaresoft and Monolithsoft(Nintendo) are stepping in to fill this void. I'm psyched to jump in and smoke some Malboros. (see what I did thar?)

Dissidia made me so mad I smashed my PSP against the wall. Shattering that console brought me more joy than any part of the game did.
I'm excited about a Final Fantasy character being in SSB, and I know Cloud is the most famous, but... couldn't they have chosen an interesting character? Even the stage is so dull and grey. At least they'll have summons as environmental hazards, so that's neat.
