Load times have been smoother, that's for sure. Really good update. GJ SEGA
I never experienced lag when swapping weapons and stuff, but there is that funky delay when loading into areas. My computer is pretty good though, running the game at 144 FPS/max graphics/4x SGSSAA/60+ FPS in 12 man party.
I'm curious now and looking forward to trying the new patch.
I run on a GTX980 with an i7, but I definitely noticed this sort of stuff.
Think about when in a 12-man MPA and you might get annoying stutters, or when you go to load the options menu and it freezes for a little bit before progressing, or when you load maps and it just stutters a hell of a lot, causing the load time to go higher.
This is the kind of stuff that a "bad client" makes worse, and it affected everyone, although to different degrees depending on your PC. You'll also notice it more if you do stuff like weapon-switch stepping and care about your loading times as much as possible, as well.
Since the new maintenance, all loads are smooth and no weapons make me drop FPS at all.
That sounds exciting, cause yeah, the FPS does spike when the game wants to load things on the fly. If they optimized that, I'm looking forward to trying it out.
The stutter, load times and freezes for the menu system is just awful. Did this neverland update fix that?
So, emergency maintenance to fix this and Sega distributing 30GB IDE drives to install the game.
This already happened once (XP not being able to launch the game) last year, after SEGA had announced it was dropping XP support, and it was quietly fixed.
But really, nobody should still be using XP in 2015...
