to change potential you need a higher rarity egg

You do not need a higher rarity egg to change pet personality. The personality of a 7* pet can be changed by using a 7* egg.

after hours of playing about more, it seems pet (shifta) symphathy only works via hitting bosses OR hitting a mob that's in an e-code
