I'll wait until Zelda U before selling my stuff.
Hopefully there won't be any regional "differences" when that one comes out.
I can imagine Nintendo altering character designs that were perfectly fine in older Zelda games, for example this pair from Twilight Princess:

This news basically affects nothing on my planned purchase, but to each their own. If I was so worried about such things, I would've missed out on Xenoblade Chronicles X, which is still my favorite new RPG experience this gen, so far. Followed closely by the more traditional themed Witcher 3.

As far as I know, Nintendo isn't handling the localization though. These changes are being done by Atlus.

From what I know of these changes, I was kind of expecting them to happen, but even Atlus, overseeing localization, hasn't been left untouched despite them localizing the games and keeping the original feel intact with past games. I don't know if it was confirmed, but I recall hearing that Nintendo wanted to leave the game intact somewhere.

Guess Nintendo couldn't keep their hands off of the localization and apparently some lines were re-recorded to fit the changes. That's something you don't see often.

atlus is doing it with ninty overseeing the whole thing and having atlus make changes to suit their requirements and shit
