Someone tell me how this makes sense.
You fight a semi-epic battle to destroy a phantom battleship that is apparently capable of causing massive destruction and after you finally cause it to explode / dematerialize / whatever, you are able to strike some poses on a completely intact Yamato? WTF? Photons? Ether?

That can't be explained because it does not make sense to begin with. The idea that one does stand there post-battle destroys any level of epicness to the battle to the point it made me feel like it did not even happen. Maybe it was a dream?

Erh. What if. Arks and phantoms are both beings of tje same dimension. But they both slip in our earth dimension and fight. So while things go bad and can cause mayhem on earth the actual shitstorm happens in the other said dimension. Leaving the actual object intact.
