Can't disable shaders?

For some reason, every time I try to load the game with simple shaders, it still loads the shaders. My computer can run this game completely fine without shaders, but when they're on, the performance significantly drops. How can I fix this?

Go to [MyDocuments]/SEGA/PHANTASYSTARONLINE2, look for file "user.pso2"
Delete that file and relaunch JP launcher to get new config file.

Doing this will result in any changes you made that stored on that file reverted into it's default state.

I'm hoping to be able to get something between "Simple" and "Standard" that actually looks close to "Standard" in quality without being almost as taxing as "High", shader-wise.

Currently testing my proxy-rig (*cough*gf's*cough*) using the most recent character creator demo and those are my results with different shader settings:

High:
2385

Standard:
4763

Simple:
27297 <--- /@-@\ !?

Ultimately, I don't mind TOO much playing the game in "Simple", merely out of nostalgia for the good ol Dreamcast feel it would give out. Though as I'm planning on installing on an SSD (unless it's not worth it?), I think it's rather preposterous in this day and age to have a "dreamcast-looking game" weight near to 40 gigs...
