    Default Article: Sega to close PSO ships in Japan and America

    NiGHTS writes, "With the release of PSO on the Cube, Sega is closing some of the PSO ships for DC users. The ships affected are: Japan
    09:JP/Lysithea America
    15:US/Puck
    16:US/Cordelia
    17:US/Ophelia
    18:US/Titania The above ships will be closed on the 19th of August of this year. Thanks goes to Segalife for the news."

    This is interesting. At least it confirms that the rest of the DC servers will remain up. Though I guess some players will loose their favorite old hang out.

    Oh, and PSO for GC is definitely separate from DC.

    Sega is most likely freeing up space to host the Gamecube ships on their servers by taking out 'useless' ones. I am sure once the XBox version is ready to rumble, more ships will be cut.

    since x-box-live is a closed network with microsoft-own i dont think so, but i think they will cut down the amount of servers for DCpso when the space is needed for GCNpso.

    microsof's x-box live is going to host the x-box ships so i guess no interplatform gaming good thing my cousin has a 'cube

    I only feel for Puck, as I had very fun at lobby 09...

    The DC game is kind of empty so I don't think the ships reductiom will be in any way a trouble.

    I belive they took these DC ships down, but are putting them along to more machines on the gamecube "server farm".

    Its happened... all the US servers went down... and only 4 came back up...
