Oh and I forgot to mention something, you can either get a nice Apprentice outfit or a totally damaged one.
At least they didn't make the Apprentice's tie an accessory.
That's the sinister thing though. Even if 95% of us ignore it, if the remaining 5% spend hundreds hunting for an Apprentice outfit, Sega makes thousands for wrapping up some assets they already had lying around from Episode friggin' 1. Only a few people need to buy into this to make it a rousing success for them. At the very least, I can ignore this at no detriment to my current play experience with the game, but it's just such a wasted opportunity. Star gems had the potential to serve a useful meta purpose to the economy by raising the value of a bad scratch draw, and they squandered it for a lazy cash grab.
I'm curious whether they'd sell more making them directly purchasable instead of this lottery nonsense.
I think the main point of the regular lottery crap is to force the revival of crap that most people who pay money aren't aiming for.
Star Gem lottery stuff isn't tradable. So what's the point of putting all that other crap on there?
By the way, I want SEGA to prove my skepticism and negativity wrong, just as much as anyone else.
C'mon SEGA, show us you aren't a bunch of greedy assholes with bad taste. Please? Hello?
@SteveCZ
That's not really true. They can use the Star Gem items to affix or buy crap with Casino coins (eg. boss triggers).
Those examples, and the boosts, may lead to them getting items that they can sell off.
So it does affect the economy, although not directly.
Atleast the costumes are not layered wear. Can't wait for SG Scratch revival.
Well back to the wating game for making Apprentice SP. Hait/costume swap mod FTW.
Wow. They put the Star Gem Shop in an obnoxious place. In front of the lobby seats next to the camp ship exit.
Now people who sit there to have to stare at her back or have her ruin their screenshots.

So I had some SG built up from bingos and stripping costumes of their SG...
Got myself a red Elder costume. So I can just color pass change it and make it black right?
Spoiler!
Ahahahahahaha, no.
