Is it even possible to patch this game?

Greetings, first of all.
I have been trying to apply the english patch to this game for a day now, all to no avail:
-Tried patching normally, when running the normal launcher it seems that the game always updates getting rid of the patch, so when I get to the game everything is en Japanese, I try patching again, same update happens.
-Tried he Tweaker, first I downloaded, installed patch, then gave me the Exes error, troubleshooted that, then a gameguard error, troubleshooted, run the game, but after selecting my character I can't get past the initial blue loading screen, I have researched and I have ran old/missing files searches, but I still can't get past that.
-Also tried patching the game normally then running it via Tweaker, same thing happens, can't get past that loading screen.

So, is it even possible?
