So either SEGA decided to ease up on the story difficulty, which I'm all for, or they are going to gradually increase the difficulty.
Since they give you the option to start Ep.5 from the get-go, I'm going to guess the latter.

But the story already has an easy mode now. They don't need to make normal mode easier. 3:

EDIT: Well I say perfect, but if they go down as easily as PD did, then I dunno.
The Story Quest is Raging Dark Arms, then Utterly Profound back to back, so it's really two raids in one Quest. Arms and Elder also scale to your level (up to 75), and have roughly VH levels of HP with damage scaled accordingly. I'm doing it as Hero, but I'll try it again as my BO/HU later. I've found that getting hit by a single ice bomb can lead to instant death if the Freeze procs due to you being the sole target.

Thankfully, this Quest grades on time as opposed to damage taken, so you don't have to worry too much about taking damage if you have self-sustainability. Also kinda wondering why they make you sit through the 30 second teleporters...

I wonder if there will be story quest mining base defense then for the episode 3 epilogue
"Thol-Falz, tes par rel diemed. Tes syr, weh yi ryukad te reli, rel ken rel obid." Dark Force, your shrine is finished. Your sword, who you returned to reality, is able to be wielded.

With Kazanboshi's translation of the last EP5 playable story quest, it seems that what Omega calls "Mana" and "Magic" are (as suspected by Xierra) really just Photons and Techniques given a different name by the inhabitants. The evidence being that when Player arrived nearby the Buster Tower, the Tower suddenly gained enough power to take on a full physical form when it failed to do so with only just Harriet's "Mana".

Ephimera is pretty much Darker corruption that grows and "sprouts" like an evil plant but the difference so far is that while normal Darker corruption grows from living beings (normally, their heads) which enhances their stats, Ephimera seemingly grows from the ground and can actually be weaponized in a controlled manner by living beings.

Harriet says that her country and other countries on Omega use Ephimera as a catalyst for different kinds of weaponizing. Harriet's country created summoning, one country created super soldiers, another country created mind control and one more found a way to make even more Ephimera. Couple that all together and that sounds exactly like the powers of a Dark Falz split apart.

Also, apparently, the Story couldn't even be bothered to name the countries in this chapter.

Prepare for a repeat of the terror that is 4-8 by the end of the Episode.

Yup I gave them names that we can use to refer them to, til we get official ones and then we can just use these to identify what kind of messed up that country is.

"Tch besides one country everyone went for the 'I'm going to build a weapon' route and even the one that didn't obviously was planning to take that route as well. So we got a 'super solider' country, 'mind controlled' country, 'Ephimera galore' country, and 'demon castle' country."

I'm wondering if Ephimera is the result of Ame no Murakumo's ability to exorcise and separate things.

Wild guess: Its pretty clear that Profound Darkness was scared by Ame no Murakumo. So maybe large amount of darker corruption was completely separated from Profound Darkness's influence when Player attacked it with Murakumo. When aether embodied Omega, it also embodied the corruption as this flower. Without PD or Falz, the darker corruption can be used without being infected. But this is more about the story of how humans corrupt themselves even without a outside force. Its a moral story about modern societies own corruption.

I think we will figure out the gist of what's going on when we meet Luther. But he's probably going to lie to us anyway.

Y'know, come to think of it.... doesn't Harriet kinda remind you slightly of Aurora without the big ass flowy dress? I didn't notice it at first, but since it was her country that created the summoning power (which is DF Apprentice's ability), it made me think about that possibility. I could be - and probably am - wrong, but it's worth noting if anything due to how we have Luther Birdman still alive in this Episode.

Also, Demon Castle is totes a Medieval Fantasy/Darker version of Big Vardha's top half.
