I never pay attention to the event stories much, but is Halloween Matoi supposed to be a phantom?

I briefly saw, aether, phantom, Halloween Matoi in some dialogue with Xiera which I just button mashed away.

Kinda, in that she is a being made up of aether, but apparently she is different enough where she doesn't actually register as one.
I do like that this means you can have both her and regular Matoi in your party at the same time.

My favourite theory is that Halloween Matoi is the result of the Player's pent up sexual frustration and desire to see Matoi in a sexy Halloween costume.

I'm going to assume right now, Phantom Matoi will be back for every holiday event from now on to trash original Matoi's reputation in the ARKS ship. Phantoms always come back as we've seen with Laplace multiple times.

But why aether when it's past episode 4? You'd think the demons are a better match for Halloween than the phantoms.

I think SEGA story writers doesn't like Gettemhart/Melphonsina pair. I was really happy to see them doing well at least in other world, but they died. AGAIN.

Considering it was the only good thing to ultimately come out of episode 4, I don't see how that could be a bad thing.

Besides, it's the whole explanation for why Omega even exists, why would it be going away?

The happy part is this time they died together,and gettemhart finally got some closure.
I am sad there wasnt an arc showing a reunion with our Melrondia and Omega gettemhart and Melphonsina but i guess its for the best.

I dont think we'll see anyone alive in our dimension in Omega,the whole place is just a corpse wonderland.

My beef with the phantom bullshit (Great title, by the way. EP5: The Phantom Bullshit) is the sheer convenience in the way it happens with no rules and consequences to keep it balanced or interesting. Its pretty much a convenient plot device to explain away any ass pulls the writer comes up with and that makes it unappealing as there's nothing about it that gets you thinking.

If that's the case, then Omega Luther wouldn't be a good guy living the life of a prince without ever having to deal with the burdens of ruling as all of that is being dumped onto his cute sister who adores him while he walks away scot free from being responsible for the deaths of his subordinates in the experimentation on Ephimera.
