Ok, so I beat the Centipede/Worm thing after the caves on Hard difficulty.
Having just dumped some pretty good loot, I was ready to load up!
Clear the crates and...
2 trap visions and about 500 in meseta...that is it?!?!!!

In offline mode your chances of getting better things is actually better. You get all the stuff, especially important against dragon and derol le if you want the dragonslayer or parasite wear. This way you won't look like a slow retard that runs over to an item and pushes it right after someone else does, and end up taking a big wiff of air with your almight gigush.
You probably had a bad catch on that one. But put it this way, you're only on hard caves. Just wait until you get to very hard mines. I haven't found any good rares on or offline in hard more all too often (DB sabers, varistas are not really rare).
Yeah, after the dragon, the loot is usually pretty pitiful with any other boss : Normal, Hard, V-Hard, Online, or Offline.....
