Is PSO Plus playable online from the US?

Hi! This my first post here, but I'm a PSO veteran that played online with the Japanese DC version 1 the Christmas it came out. I fell out of it when all the hackers started harrasing people. I was a sucker and bought all the US versions except Xbox and 3, even though I didn't play them much out of fear of losing my characters.

Anyway, I was wondering if PSO Episode 1 & 2 Plus is playable online from the US and how hard is it to do?

Also, what complications does it bring? Will the Hunter's License be usable with the US version of PSO3? Is there any reason to get the US version of PSO3 as opposed to the Japanese PSO box set?

Oh, and has anyone confirmed that they fixed the crash/FSOD bugs in Plus?
