I found a thing called a Photo Regene Barrier. This is some type of rare armor, but it isn't listed on the rare armor thing on the main page. Does anyone know if there is another name for this or something? Thanks.

Do you mean the Proto Regen Gear? If so, it's a prototype version of the Regenerate Gear. Unfortunately, since it's a prototype, it doesn't work. It has nothing more than collectable value.
Ive never heard of it at all, where did you find it ? What is your character ? elaborate...and give a description ... if you have the time....
i was always wondering if you could take it to Dr. Montague, guess i'll give it a try, got nothing better to do anyway.
The Proto Regene Gear is on the guide. It's a lvl 66 shield, but as the desciption says, it will NOT heal you. I asked a loong time ago how to activate it, but no one knew (I think asking how to "turn it on" was the reason I became a member of PSOW)
You can't "turn on" the Proto regen gear. What you need is the "Regenerate Gear". Thats the working version of the Proto stuff.
