...how the fuck do you people put up with 'your friends annoying you every day'?
God, if somebody harasses you on a daily basis, chances are they don't give a shit about you...which means they aren't your FRIENDS. I just moved here, I have one friend, and she doesn't annoy me ever. -_- Not do I want a friend who would annoy me.
Online it's easier to find someone cooler, since you've got the whole world from to choose teammates.
Just be careful not to get obsessed with friends you don't really know about. I know a lot of dudes who don't interact with anyone all day, preferring to stay with his/her friends on the TV/computer screen.
Kind of like the "hikikomori", the lone players in Japan who don't interact with anyone, and keep themselves closed in their room.

Sorry to hear Haya, I sorta have the same situtation but could it be your friends are busy a lot of the times? I know I myself and pretty busy lately and I don't have much time for friends both offline/online. But I'm also guilty of not calling anyone when I do have free time, maybe you should give them a shout? Just because your friends don't see you so often doesn't mean they don't care about you anymore. And if you need some new friends just look abit harder hehe, life's too short to spend miserable. On 2004-09-23 14:38, HAYABUSA-FMW- wrote:
Hmm. Don't mean to spoil someone else's rant.
Hehe.
In my opinion all friends are over-rated.
I now have no Online or Offline friends.
I'm in the process of deleting all my AIM buddy list crap and phone numbers in my cell phone(which will be thrown away soon enough). Every year I've had to try to fit-in with a different group of "friends". Its all a waste. I don't fit in anywhere. I'm not going to try anymore.
No one ever contacts my ass anymore. By phone, IM, e-mail or otherwise.
Don't give me that "Just be yourself" crap either.
I'm "myself" everyday. I'd much rather be someone else.
Sorry again. Be thankful you have people to call "friends".
Online I only have two friends... one I have not emailed in a month. And I'm kinda scared to send her one cause it's been so long. -_- Offline I have one good friend and I've known him for 16 years now.

I am sorry. I do understand that. Granted, I do have more online friends than offline. ... I mean, I was thinking about going to a movie and realized I have to go alone. And it kinda has been that way for... quite a while.
Aren't you the person who talked about Capilano bridge? You should PM me sometime
This whole fucking rant is stupid.
Well, the title of the rant is, anyways.
You're basically saying you like people you don't know more then the people you do know.
Granted, in your example, your friends are jerks to you. Which doesn't make sense. Friends aren't supposed to be jerks to you.
Find new friends.
Second, online people aren't fucking gifts from God to the socially rejected or something--they're still real people in REAL LIFE.
The real kicker is...people who "care" for you online probably could give a fuck about you personally when it all boils down to things. I hate to ruin your fantasies or fucking blurry view of how online friends work---but if you cling on to something that could vanish in 2 seconds or become completely different, it's going to fuck with your head.
A lot.
I'm going to try and summarize:
You're online friends are just offline friends you've never met in real life, and chances are, if you do meet them in real life, they won't be the person you expect or think you "know". The same will happen to the person who meets you.
Go outside.
I'm gonna regret saying this, but:On 2004-09-23 20:44, AUTO_ wrote:

Fuck you.
Anyways, most of these people are real friends, mostly just classmates I am always with, so I have to get used to being with them. So I categorized them under friends. I think I mentioned that earlier! *GASP!*
So you're telling me all these online people, if I met them in real life would be far different from what I expect, or they'd just be jerks?
BTW, I have online friends and REAL RL friends (As in, probably less then I have online friends, but still a lot). So you're right, it's not a gift for the socially rejected
Hey, if they didn't care for my personality online, why else would they talk to me? I mean, all you get in IMs is what I say. You don't get my tone or my face/facial expressions.
You failed.I hate to ruin your fantasies
The definition of an online friend has changed a lot since a few years ago. Don't dismiss them as quickly as how you are doing now.On 2004-09-23 20:44, AUTO_ wrote:
