The reason for the change is due to the fact that rants is now an unmoderated forum. It will make people think twice before they post a flame, since once they post it... its there for all to see for all time. This prevents someone from making a vicious attack against someone, letting them see it and then editing it so noone else can see it.

I can understand that. Curse my slow brain! I was slapping my forehead 5 seconds after I posted. Guess I'll keep that in mind next time I release the verbal spewage.
