So, I watched up to Ep 22 of FMA. And stopped. Wondering what exactly makes this thing so incredibly awesome? The characters were very flat (cept the officer that's in LOVE with his kid... Pictures anyone? How bout you!? See this pic of her? Soooooo cute!) and hard to associate with. Maybe I just didn't watch enough? Maybe I'm missing something fundamental about the series?
I dunno, you tell me?
Oh, and BTW, GTO rocked. Think I'm going to check out Getbackers or Hunter x Hunter next.
I can't stand any of the characters in that show. That's why I don't watch it.
FMA is ok but S-Cry-ED kicks ass i mean seriously even though iv only seen 1 ep because only 1 has been shown but otherwise the one i saw was awesome got my name from it AlterUser

getbackers is somewhat painful as i recall... But i am also not a huge fan of anime...

When FMA first came out, people said it was the best Anime in a while. Now that it's gone mainstream, it's magically become the worst Anime ever.

FMA went mainstream? Didn't even know it had gotten picked up. Guess that's what I get for not keeping up on DVD releases for the past 3 months or so.
FMA was much better in the beginning imo... (note, I have only seen what's been on Adult Swim) To me it seems like alot of the episodes and storylines towards the middle show great potential but then fall incredibly flat... Like they get you interested, even mildly excited but then severely dissapoint for some reason... I'm not exactly sure how to describe exactly what I mean though...
Yea I dunno... I'm just hoping it get's better... As for everyone saying it sucks now that it's been mainstreamed... I effing hate you "1337" bastards! >.< But I'm not going to get into that right now! =)
The storyline is all about foreshadowing, that's what got me most I think.
"And there are even talks of homonuculus..." 10 eps later:
"You're a homonuculus!" Duh duh dum...
"Wow, really? A talking Chimera!? Show me if you can do it! I know you've gota be evil and using people for experiments just like every single other person I've ran into that uses Alchemy, but I'll trust *you*. You're nice."
Later that ep:
"You used your own daughter in an experiment!? Oh god! I would never have thought!"
Yay for plot twists.
FMA, has...like alot of seriously ridiculious plots, and cliff hanging.
It was also very super dramatic, and also did things that pissed off people, obviously in example... Ep.# when the Chimera is made, and ep 25.
It drove me crazy watching the series, but, all in all it was pretty good.
