PSO server, Gamecube PSO, this forum

To Lolita: My post has significant value beyond being a "welcome back" post. If you want to censor it for some reason, make it something besides the highly sarcastic topic name I put ("Hello Everyone!").

I'm sure you all love me so much. Anyway, I have some news.

1. I am writing server software currently for the game. It would let you make your own PSO server that you and your friends could play on. It also is a hell of a lot more secure than the server made by those brilliant security specialists at Sonic Team. I suppose that if you tried *really* hard, you could use my server to help you cheat (you'd have to hack my program), but what's the point when you've got Xploder?

2. Gamecube PSO has a lot of hidden features that Sonic Team will release over time. For example, there are modes in which the lobby changes, sort of like how there was a Christmas tree on Pioneer 2. (Hopefully they updated the big 21.)

3. There are 2 more extended character models. There were 5 in version 2, Famitsu Editor, Rico, Sonic, Knuckles, Tails (in numerical order, of course). Now there are 2 more, 2 characters that I don't recognize.

4. I love how Sonic Team put me into Version 3. Their name for that De-Rol-Le clone in the Xbox video (barubarei) is 1 vowel off from the Capcom original (barubaroi). Maybe if Sonic Team was trying to pronounce my name as they saw it anglicized (thanks to a crappy job by Capcom's translators), they could come up with that.

5. Gamecube PSO is already destroyed. Funny how I had nothing to do with it this time - I don't even have the damn game

6. I like this forum's Melissa picture that is my avatar. Where'd you find a picture that matched the hair color, skin color, class, and face type of my well-known FOmarl? (answered already by Lolita; it's the cover of the Japanese v2 guidebook. he/she's right, because I remember that book now - my friend has it.)

7. Don't ask how I know #2 and #3. Assume what you want, but it's probably wrong.

8. Some things sure don't change. How long has that "unable to update forum post count" bug been around? 18 months?

9. My original profile said age 20 and dislikes = PSO World. Some admin here changed it.

I don't know such low-level networking things as "TTL". I do know this game extremely well though.

TTL, which stands for time-to-live, is a value in each IP packet's header. Any decent 'hacker' would know this. You're slowing down.
