Are Nintendo stepping on Sonic Team's shoes??

As I've just been reading about Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS and the online mode, and I couldn't help but notice how they mention their "Hunters License" system for tracking your records within the game.

Everyone here should know that Sonic Team have been using "Hunters Licenses" for almost 4 years for their online gaming service for Phantasy Star Online games on the Dreamcast, GameCube, Xbox and PC.

Are Nintendo in breach of any copyright or trademark?

Has anyone told Sonic Team?

Is anyone here even bothered?

doubt it they have been working together for years sonic for gamcubee and game boy?

And did they ever bother to trademark the term Hunter's Liscense?

If their Hunter's Liscense is what they call a pay-for-play subscription of about 9 bucks a month, I would start worrying. But it doesn't seem that way. More likely, it just is a stat tracking system named after the game.

Why does it matter, them both being called a "Hunters License" saves you the trouble of having to remember two seperate names.

But again it could be a lillte confusing them being both called that....

Well, at the very least, ST didn't create the term hunter to refer to mercenaries, that's been used in many other places.

But seriously Samus is a bounty hunter and it makes sense to call it that, what else you going to call it a galactic hunters license

Fair enough, maybe Hunter Permit doesn't have the right ring to it
